Free Sanitary Pad Donation & Menstrual Literacy Workshop | Delhi

Many young girls have no information about their body changes and menstruation. Keeping these things in mind, Pinkishe Foundation conducted a menstrual hygiene and awareness session in Trilokpuri, Delhi on 6th July, 2022. The beneficiaries were mostly girls of 12 to 22 years. We have designed our sessions in such a way where they can easily discuss the related topics like changes in body, menstruation, hygiene issues etc. We educated them about the whole process of menstruation, its Importance and proper disposal of sanitary napkins which is very important for living a healthy life. Our Facilitator and the co-founder of Pinkishe Foundation, Shalini Gupta, introduced them to various Menstrual products. Girls were amazed to know about the Menstrual cup. We taught them the process of using a menstrual cup, and they were very happy after knowing certain types of things. They show good interest in reusable cloth pads. Pinkishe volunteer Vandana Joshi distributed sanitary pads to girls. Menstruation matters to our girls, and it should matter to everyone, everywhere. Pinkishe Foundation is thankful to all the girls for their interaction, and we are continuously working to break down all these myths and taboos regarding periods from our society.
