On World Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28th May, Pinkishe Foundation organized a large event in Braspathi Bhawan auditorium of CCS University, Meerut, where the administration and teachers of Basik Shiksha Vibhag were felicitated for successfully imparting Menstrual health and hygiene awareness to girls in their schools.

In the month of April, Pinkishe Foundation, under its project 'Sakhi', took the target of educating about 40000 school girls in class 6th to 8th in Meerut about Menstrual health and hygiene. This huge project was carried out in three phases. In the first phase, all BRGs of 13 blocks were trained by Ms. Shalini Gupta. In the second phase, these BRGs trained two teachers in all the schools which come under their block, in the 3rd phase, these trained teachers gave a Menstrual literacy workshop to all 6th to 8th class girls in their schools. This whole project was carried out under the supervision of Ms. Poonam Rana, Chief Project Officer, Sakhi Program in Pinkishe Foundation Meerut Branch.

This huge project was brought to closure on 28th May. On this occasion, State Women Commission member Smt Rakhi Tyagi Ji felicitated PinkisheFoundation Meerut team members Minakshi Rana, Rajrani Sharma, and Seema Pawar. Ms. Poonam Rana of the Meerut team was given special recognition for her wonderful contribution. Ms. Ruchi Jain, Director of Pink Talk, felicitated some of the Ngo's representatives who are doing wonderful work in the Meerut district. Ms. Shalini Gupta, National General Secretary, Pinkishe Foundation, congratulated all the teachers, especially male teachers, for implementing the Sakhi program successfully in their schools and educating girls on this less spoken subject.
