Free Sanitary Pad Donation & Menstrual Literacy Workshop | Meerut

For most of the urban women, menstruation is still associated with routine discomfort.To cultivate good menstrual hygiene a Menstrual hygiene literacy workshop was conducted by Pinkishe Foundation in collaboration with Samaritans All Around ngo in Lal kurti slum, Meerut to uphold their health and dignity.

Our aim is to empower young women and girls about the heightened vulnerabilities of menstrual hygiene and its management.

During the workshop, Girls were educated about right hygiene practices during periods along with free distribution of reusable sanitary pads which girls took with lot of eagerness and they were surprised to see menstrual cups and tampons.

They were also taught about right usage and disposal or sanitary products. Our volunteers encouraged them to eat healthy and remain active during periods.They were happy that reusable pads will solve their problem of buying Sanitary pads every month and felt empowered by the end of the session.
