Free Sanitary Pad Donation & Menstrual Literacy Workshop | New Delhi

On 16th December ,a Free Sanitary Pad Distribution Camp was organized at GB Road, the red light area of the Hope B lit Foundation with the support of the Police Chowki of that area.

While distributing pads,one of the sex workers revealed that lack of knowledge once caused her vaginal infection as she used a single pad for 2 days straight and that incident made her choose cloth over sanitary pad. She also said that most of the sex workers are forced to use unclean cloth to manage their periods because sanitary pads are expensive.

Our facilitators lent them a helping hand and educated them about the correct ways of using sanitary pads and sustainable disposal of menstrual waste so that they are knowledgeable enough to choose the best for their health.Blankets , Condoms and dental kits were also distributed to them.
