During the current lockdown, 60 children of a Manipur orphanage required raw food supplies like rice, pulses and grains. 35 of them were grown up girls and were in dire need of sanitary pads.

Pinkishe Foundation took action. Our Jorhat, Assam Branch President Ms Sumita Bandyopadhyay led the donation drive. All necessary food items and Sanitary pads were provided to the orphanage on 26th April, 2020.

We received full local support from Mr Rajib Sinha, Account Head of an MNC; Mrs Sharungbam Kalpana Devi, Director of Sharungbam Supply and Works LLP; and Mrs Rina Sharungbam, Director of Paramount Enterprise in Manipur. They voluntarily donated and distributed all the stuff on behalf of Pinkishe Foundation under Ms Sumita's direction.

Superintendent of the Children Home for girls, Ms Jhiyam Jaya thanked Pinkishe Foundation for reaching out to children's rescue in these testing times.
